I have been part of the
disabled community for over 20 years. Having lived and worked
in Frederick County, I feel I can assist anyone who might need
guidance with housing issues. I am very familiar with ADA
adaptations since I am a wheelchair user. I have worked for a
Center for Independent Living and have helped people from all walks
of life and different disabilities achieve success in their
endeavors, whatever they may be.
My Promise
to
you
My promise to
you is to provide free counseling and education for potential
homebuyers who need assistance understanding the responsibilities
and benefits of homeownership. I am dedicated to the belief that
homeownership should not be a dream but a reality for all citizens
who pursue it and that this can be achieved through educating
homebuyers on the procedures of purchasing a home, the
responsibilities of home ownership; and the on-going process in
maintaining a good credit history.
I
hold the belief that:
Homeownership
develops pride and facilitates stability and growth for families and
neighborhoods.
Educating
families on how to purchase and maintain their homes promotes
self-sufficiency.
Community
development is best accomplished when partnerships are created that
focus on the needs of the community.
I
will achieve its mission by:
- Providing
increased homeownership opportunities for low- and moderate-income
persons, persons with disabilities and the
elderly.
- To
work in partnership with state government, municipalities and the
private sector to address the special needs of Frederick County
homebuyers who have disabilities.
- To
heighten general awareness of housing needs for low- and
moderate-income residents, particularly with groups who can have
an impact on the production of such housing, including the
legislature, community officials and the business community.
I
specialize in assisting homeowners with special needs, such as
wheelchair accessibility,
I
can be reached at Lesa@sidhassel.com
and will be able to provide an array of housing services, education
and homebuyer counseling information for all low-moderate income
families and individuals with or without disabilities. I will provide services, not
limited to, pre/post homebuyer’s education and all applicable steps
toward the purchase of a home.
Consultations for
